Go1 is putting OpenAI Academy courses inside the corporate learning catalogue

Most organisations do not have an AI skills problem so much as a distribution problem. The courses exist. Getting them in front of the right people, inside the systems those people already use, is where programs stall. Go1 is betting that it can close some of that gap.

The learning content company, which says it works with more than 10,000 organisations and 11 million learners, has partnered with OpenAI to make OpenAI Academy courses available through its platform from this week. In practice that means an L&D team that already buys content through Go1 can put OpenAI's own material into its existing learning catalogue rather than sending staff off to find it.

Chief executive Chris Eigeland summed up the reasoning: "AI adoption is moving quickly, but workforce capability isn't always keeping pace." Lois Newman, who leads customer education at OpenAI, is also quoted in the announcement, and the partnership sits alongside Go1's existing tools, including its Morgan product.

For L&D leaders this is useful, and it is also a reminder of what content alone cannot do. Easy access to good AI courses removes one excuse. It does not decide which workflows a team should change first, who owns the result or how anyone will know it worked. Organisations that already have a catalogue full of completed modules and very little change in how work gets done will recognise the pattern.

The programs that tend to work pair the content with something that forces application. A team takes a process it already finds painful, works on it with the tool and the new skills, and reports back on what changed. The course becomes the warm up rather than the event. That is how our AI Training programs are built, starting from the work people already do.

The Go1 deal makes the warm up cheaper and easier to reach. The part that decides the outcome still sits with the organisation.
